Eye-opener

I never realized until starting to do this here blog just how irate I get at what I read on the news. Take today for example, the CEO of Home Depot is resigning amid protests from stockholders that claim the price of their stocks isn't increasing as much as the profits of the company are, what does he get as a going away present? $210 million, $20 million of that in cash. Imagine if the rest of us were paid obscene amounts of money for being generally incompetent and greedy. Ah the good life. Or how about this, after everyone in the world, including his daddy's closest friends, tell Pres Numb-nuts that it's time to start withdrawing troops from Iraq, what's he reportedly doing? That's right, increasing the troop levels. Why? He's the Decider. How 'bout this? Nothing like racism once again rearing it's ugly little head in Congress when a Congressman from VA is getting all irate about an INFORMAL ceremony where a new member of Congress wants to use a Koran instead of a Bible or nothing at all. Who the f*ck cares!!! It's informal and doesn't mean anything, just another photo-op. Muslims are not bad people, just like Christians are not bad people, it's the fundamentalist, keep woman subservient, the Holy Sabbath holy, etc, but I still want to make as much money and have as much power as possible, motherf*ckers that give them a bad name. To top it all off, it's gonna be a copy of the Koran that was Thomas Jefferson's. If one of our Founding Father's who also happened to be from your state was fine with Islam, what is your problem Mr Bigot Congressman? Thank god for news stories like the one I read about in Time yesterday about an organic restaurant that doesn't list prices for food on the menu, because there aren't any. You pay what you feel you should pay. If you don't have the money, do an hour of work, be it washing dishes, pulling weeds in the garden, etc. If you can pay, perhaps you might want to give a little more, and on the whole, most do. One man consistently goes in and leaves $50, another man goes in orders some soup, and pays, sometimes without eating it because he says he's more fortunate that some others, and he's homeless. Thanks god for that story or I was about to write off the entire human race.
